- Are the shingle courses straight?
Run your eye along the horizontal lines. On a well-set roof they stay parallel the whole way across.
- How do the valleys look?
- Is the flashing clean?
- Are the ridge and hips crisp?
- Is the property clean?
- Is it the same house?
In a before and after pair, check the background. Same angle, same trees, same neighbor’s fence. If the frames don’t match, the pair doesn’t mean much.
